You can delete your CirclesMM account at any time, from inside the app or by email. You don't need to give a reason.
Delete in the app (immediate)
- Open CirclesMM and go to Profile
- Tap Delete account at the bottom of the screen
- Confirm twice — deletion is permanent and takes effect immediately
Delete by email
If you can't access the app (lost phone, changed number), email contact@circlesmm.com from any address and include the phone number the account is registered to. We'll verify the request and delete the account within 7 days.
What gets deleted
- Your display name, phone number, and profile — erased immediately
- Your sign-in: the account can no longer be used, and your phone number is freed up if you ever want to start fresh
- Your circle memberships and notification devices
- Your premium access
What stays, and why
- Messages you sent remain in their conversations, attributed to "Deleted user" instead of your name. This is the same approach used by most messaging platforms — your identity is removed, but other people's conversations aren't silently rewritten.
- Payment records are kept without your profile attached, as required for accounting and refund handling.
- Backups may retain copies for a short period before they roll off.
Circles you own
If you own a circle that still has other members, ownership passes automatically to its longest-standing member — the room and its history survive for them. Circles where you were the only member are deleted entirely.
